| Pamela Bowell is an outstanding drama practitioner who is nationally and internationally renowned for her work with children, young people, students, teachers and theatre educators. With them, she explores the ways in which drama provides opportunities to promote and develop learning, creativity and culture. She is a regular conference workshop leader and speaker and is a researcher and writer on drama for learning.
Pamela has been a secondary school drama teacher in both the UK and Australia, a local authority advisory teacher and theatre in education actor/teacher, and a teacher educator. Until recently Principal Lecturer in Drama Education, she is now Research Associate in the School of Education, Kingston University, London.

For 10 years, Pamela was Chair of National Drama, the UK's leading professional subject association for drama teachers and theatre educators and has recently returned to the association executive. She has also served on a range of other national and international bodies. She has recently been appointed to the Editorial Board of Drama Research Online.
Pamela is Project Director of the National Drama Online CPD Initiative. Pamela is also centrally involved in the successful D4LC - Drama for Learning and Creativity initiative and has Continuing Professional Development partnerships with several local authorities. She also has a long and successful research and writing partnership with Brian Heap, University of the West Indies.
